Threatened Tasmanian Eagles Recovery Plan 2006-2010

This recovery plan for threatened Tasmanian eagles covers two species, the Wedge-tailed Eagle and the White-bellied Sea-eagle.

The Wedge-tailed Eagle is listed as Endangered under the Commonwealth Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 and endangered under the Tasmanian Threatened Species Protection Act 1995.

The White-bellied Sea-eagle is not a Nationally listed species but is listed as vulnerable on Tasmania's threatened species legislation. The Tasmanian endorsed recovery plan is available below.

The Nationally endorsed recovery plan for Tasmania's threatened eagles is available on the web site of the Department of Environment and Water Resources at www.environment.gov.au/biodiversity/threatened/recovery.html. This plan also contains an Addendum of information (Schedule 1) relating to windfarm activities in Tasmania.

The PDF below is the Tasmanian Threatened Eagle Recovery Plan and does not include an addendum as it had already been approved through Tasmanian statutory processes.
