Organic Farming

cherry tomatoesOrganic farms can be found statewide with enterprises ranging from wine to sheep's cheese. Although there are approximately a dozen large businesses, the majority of organic farms are small-scale operations. Organic farming is expanding but needs more commercial operators to create a viable industry. The normal conversion period from conventional to organic farming is three years.
