Vintage Reports

As the following Vintage Reports indicate, the Tasmanian wine industry continues to grow in stature. Tasmania's temperate climate and relative freedom from pests and diseases are significant advantages.

Vintage Report - 2008
Quality and quantity...These are the key words being used to describe the fortunes of Tasmania's record-breaking 2008 vintage of over 9,600 tonnes of wine grapes.

Vintage Report - 2007
It is an exciting time for Tasmania with wine quality leading the way on many fronts.

Vintage Report - 2006
2006 was an early low yielding year with low botrytis pressure and clean very high quality fruit.

Vintage Report - 2005
2005 will be a classic year for Tasmanian wine.

Vintage Report - 2004
To keep the Danish royal wedding celebrations going, 2004 rolled in a good vintage for Tasmanian sparkling wine.

Vintage Report - 2003
Vintage 2003 was a year with normal yield levels despite the summer drought.

Vintage Report - 2002
Vintage 2002 was a year of reduced fruitset with a record, sunny dry finish.

Vintage Report - 2001
"The Tasmanian Wine Industry has reached the beachhead." Vintage 2001 was another record due to new plantings coming on line and some heavy crops.

Vintage Report - 2000
It is expected that the 2000 Vintage will be acknowledged as one of the best for the Tasmanian wine industry.
