Review of the Regulatory Controls on Aerial Spraying in Tasmania

A review of the regulatory controls on aerial spraying in Tasmania by the Agricultural, Silvicultural and Veterinary Chemicals (ASCHEM) Council has recommended a number of changes to the aerial spraying regulatory framework.

See the Review of Aerial Spraying Regulatory Controls - Rationale for ASCHEM Council Recommendations.

See also a Summary of Submissions to the Review.

In May 2008, submissions were called for the Review of Aerial and Ground Spraying Agricultural Chemical Products. Comments were invited from interested parties by close of business, Monday 28 July 2008. (The cut-off date for comments was extended from 23 June 2008.)

As at June 2009 these submissions are still under consideration and amended draft regulations should be available for public comment in the upcoming months.
