| | Measurements of Wine Industry Dimensions and TrendsThe Tasmanian Wine Industry Statistics are prepared by the Department in cooperation with the Australian Bureau of Statistics and the Office of the Commissioner of Licensing. This cooperation allows the rationalisation of the design of forms and the collection of information that is relevant to Tasmania without requiring collection for varieties that are not relevant to Tasmania. It is in the interests of producers to support the continued collection of statistics because of the decreased paperwork load resulting from the cooperation and the quality of statistics made available for industry development and investment decisions. The powers of the Liquor and Accommodation Act compel producers to submit their data making the data a robust collection covering over 99% of production. |
