Draft Sassafras Wesley Vale Water Management Plan

The Draft Sassafras Wesley Vale Water Management Plan has been prepared under the Water Management Act 1999.

The Draft Plan has been prepared by the Department of Primary Industries, Parks, Water and Environment. The purpose of the Plan is to provide a framework for managing the catchment's water resources in accordance with the objectives of the Water Management Act 1999.

The Plan area includes the Greens Creek catchment, the Panatana Rivulet catchment (including Eastford, Westford, Tullamona and Appleby Creeks), the Pardoe Creek Catchment, the Andrews Creek catchment, small streams and wetlands on the western side of Port Sorell and those that flow into Bass Strait between Hawley Beach and East Devonport. All of the catchments described are located within the Latrobe municipality.

Public meeting

A public meeting to discuss the Draft Plan will be held at 7.30 pm - 9.30 pm on Thursday 10 December 2009 at the Thirlstane Golf Club, 291 Squeaking Point Road, Thirlstane.
