Crown Land Assessment and Classification Project |
About the Project |
Project ClosureThe Crown Land Assessment and Classification (CLAC) project has now been completed. The project commenced in July 2004 and concluded in June 2008The aim of the CLAC project was to complete the Crown land classification process, by assessing and classifying all unallocated Crown land and Public Reserves under the Crown Lands Act 1976. For more information, see Project Background, Frequently Asked Questions and the Project brochure. The project included comprehensive public consultation. All interested parties had an opportunity to provide their views, comments and ideas. The public consultation process enabled informed decisions to be made on the most appropriate future tenure of the land, leading to better management of Crown land. Public consultation for all municipalities in the State was completed on Friday 23 June 2006. | ![]() |
