Recent Municipal Revaluations


Notices of Valuation were recently finalised for nearly 82,000 properties in Hobart, Kingborough, Huon Valley, Southern Midlands, Central Highlands, West Coast, Devonport, Kentish and Latrobe municipalities.

The land value, capital value and the assessed annual value for each property has been determined as at 1 October 2008. The values took effect from 1 July 2009 for rating and taxing purposes.

The previous revaluations for this group of municipalities occurred in the 2001-2003 period. There have been significant changes in the property market between the last revaluation and October 2008 reflecting pre-boom to post-boom levels of value.
